A truly Gaudí phone

Together with Xiaomi and our team of experts, we have helped them to design one of the first phones inspired by a genius architect. The curved design of the rear body of the Mi 9 is inspired by Gaudi’s work and his organic and aesthetic shapes. It has a wide colour gamut that makes the device look different every time. As Carlos Canals Roura, president of the Gaudi Academy of Knowledge, says: the Mi 9 harmoniously combines “the reflection of light, the curvature of the design and the use of natural elements that turn the device into a work of art and an expression of beauty. ”.

It had already been presented a few days ago in China, but it has also arrived in Barcelona. During the MWC 2019, Mi 9 was presented as the company’s first flagship with a triple camera and Artificial Intelligence, incorporating the latest 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 ½-inch sensor in its main camera. This configuration allows the user to take clearer and sharper photos, especially in low light conditions, since Mi 9 combines four pixels into one. Thus, the triple combination with AI of this main camera, together with a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera and another with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, would place the new Mi 9 with the second best score in the global ranking of smartphones carried out by DxOMark . This source has also given the terminal the first position in the category of video captures.
